The Evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

 Today we hear a common word from different people in places where I go and that word is AI.


But what is AI?😅 This may seem like a joking question but sti it's a question to. In simple term artificial we already know that it means something which is man made and intelligence meaning understand so artificial intelligence is the making of machine which have human-like understanding. These machines are able to solve problems, make discussions, think, like humans, understand natural language and so much more.


All of these objectives have been achieved and most are not. Currently writing this article there are powerful chatbots which are ruling over our livelihood and these include Chatgpt, Google bard, Hugging Chat to mention but a few. These chatbots are examples of the so called Artificial Intelligence. Chatgpt came into public with it's first version called GPT-1 as it's engine in 2018, by a company called OpenAI and now it backfired with so much energy with GPT-3 in November, 2022 and a new version GPT-4 was released with do much power than it's predecessor. On hearing this Google Brain a subsidiary of Google LLC came up with bard and now it's still in the experimental stage.


How has AI evolved

Coming back back to the point is the issue of evolution, from the first computer to current computers to AGI to quantum computing. AI is still evolving, it started when the instructions were given to the machine on what to do and now the machine is taught with some data called Dataset. It is the dataset with all the information the machine has to study, currently there are little number of robots which run with AI of a current knowledge. Now Natural Language Processing (NLP) has now the answer to the future of making machines understand human language. Examples of applications of NLP are chatbots, language translators. As AI is keeping on evolving there are some dangers which will rise ahead.

One is inadequate jobs. Robots will be deployed to work in places where humans are working in. This can be seen in Harvard University where a robot is acting as a lecturer that side


Another one is that people are now spending more time with these AI chatbots. Everything now is given the chatbot like calculations and over thinking where people are trusting the AI than themselves

In conclusion, AI is not only good but it's also good. We have seen it coming from programmed software to touchable equipments like self driving cars, personal assistants like Siri and so much more.
